Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarships 2018
Jiangsu Provincial Government has set up the “Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship” for international students in order to promote the internationalization of higher education in Jiangsu, to further improve the profile of Jiangsu education in the world, to highlight the brand of “Study in Jiangsu” and to make Jiangsu a preferred province for international students. This scholarship will be provided in support of outstanding overseas students and scholars to undertake full-time study in universities and colleges of Jiangsu. It also covers those non-degree program students and exchange students in accordance with educational exchange agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOUs) between the Jiangsu Provincial Government and state governments, institutions, universities and international organizations abroad.
Categories of Applicants
a. Outstanding international students who wish to undertake full time study in a university or college in Jiangsu Province.
b. Non-degree program students and exchange students in accordance with educational exchange agreements and MOUs between the Jiangsu Provincial Government and state governments, institutions, universities and international organizations abroad.
Criteria and Eligibility for Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarships 2018
a. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
b. Applicants for a college undergraduate program must have a senior high school diploma with good academic performance and be under the age of 30.
c. Applicants for a master’s program must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
d. Applicants for a doctoral program must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
e. Applicants must agree to observe the relevant laws of the PRC and meet the admission requirements of the hosting university or college.
f. Applicants must have a good academic record.
g. Applicants cannot be simultaneous recipients of other scholarships offered by the Chinese government, local governments or other Chinese organizations.
Conditions of Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarships 2018
a. A fee waiver of tuition, registration, laboratory experiments, internship, and basic textbooks.
b. Cost of experiments or internships beyond the program curricula is at student’s own expense.
c. Cost of books or learning materials other than required basic textbooks is at student’s own expense.
d. Free on-campus dormitory accommodation, or an accommodation allowance of 10,000 yuan per year.
e. A living allowance of 1,500 yuan per month.
f. Scholarship recipients registering before the 15th of the registration month (the 15th included) will be granted the full living allowance of that month.
g. Recipients registering after the 15th of the registration month will be granted half of the living allowance of that month.
h. Comprehensive Medical Insurance and Protection Scheme for International Students while in China
Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarships 2018 Partial Scholarship
a. College student: 20,000 yuan per academic year. Duration: One academic year.
b. Undergraduate student/ Graduate student: 30,000 yuan per academic year. Duration: One academic year.
c. Non-degree program student/ Exchange student: 2,000 yuan per month. Duration: 3 to 12 months (in accordance with the agreement).
Application Procedures of Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarships 2018
a. Log on to the “Study in Jiangsu” website.
b. Register an individual account.
c. Complete the Application Form online and upload e-copies of relevant original documents.
d. Print the Application Form, sign it, and then mail it with notarized copies of the relevant documents to the Office of Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarship Management Team (Mailing Address: Please find it in CONTACT).
Application Documents for Jasmine Jiangsu Government Scholarships 2018
a. Scanned copy of the passport photo page.
b. Highest diploma/ degree certificate (notarized photocopy). High school students or university students shall also provide Certificate of Enrollment from the school or university they are studying in. Documents in a language other than Chinese or English must be accompanied with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
c. Academic transcripts (notarized photocopy): Transcripts in a language other than Chinese or English must be accompanied with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
d. Recommendation letters: Applicants for graduate studies must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors with contact details.
e. Other relevant documents upon request.
Note: Submitted documents will not be returned regardless of the result of the application.
